Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Stelfox is partnering with a leading organisation in Dublin to hire a Senior Generative AI Engineer (Python) to design and deliver production‑grade agentic systems in a highly regulated, mission‑critical environment.
This is a hands‑on engineering role with real ownership across architecture, scalability, and end‑to‑end delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, build, and operate agentic AI systems using Python
- Implement robust context management strategies across complex, multi‑step executions
- Build and optimise RAG pipelines across structured and unstructured data sources
- Develop agent workflows using LangGraph or similar orchestration frameworks
- Integrate AI solutions with internal platforms via REST APIs and event‑driven systems
- Define and implement orchestration patterns (sync, async, human‑in‑the‑loop)
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in software engineering with strong Python expertise
- Strong understanding of context management and MCP‑style protocols
- Proven experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and retrieval strategies
- Hands‑on experience with LangGraph or similar agentic frameworks
- Solid grasp of distributed workflows (state, retries, idempotency)
- Strong systems design skills with a focus on scalability and resilience
Nice to have
- Experience with NoSQL, relational databases, and vector stores
- Exposure to event‑driven architectures (pub/sub, queues)
