Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Graphic & Motion Designer with 5–9 years of experience across static design, motion graphics, and video.
You will own creative from brief to delivery: set the visual direction for a campaign, design and animate the key pieces yourself, and guide the designers building out the rest. You will be the person who decides whether work is ready to go, and who explains the thinking behind it to marketing and brand teams.
This is a hands-on senior role. You will still be in the files every day.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Direction
- Set the visual direction for campaigns: concept, layout system, color, typography, and tone.
- Turn a brief into a concept. Interrogate what the campaign is actually trying to do before you open a file.
- Design the key pieces yourself — hero banners, launch visuals, campaign films — and set the template others build from.
- Be the quality bar. Review the team's work, give specific feedback, and decide when something is ready to ship.
2. Motion & Video
- Direct and produce motion content: product videos, animated campaign assets, explainers, and social cutdowns.
- Shape the edit through pacing, music timing, transitions, and type animation.
- Finish to a high standard, including motion graphics, color, and clean audio.
- Deliver for every platform (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) with the cutdowns each channel needs.
3. Owning Projects
- Run projects end to end: scope, timeline, who does what, and delivery, across several campaigns at once.
- Brief and guide designers working alongside you, and make sure the pieces add up to one campaign.
- Manage reviews and versions so feedback lands in one place and nothing gets lost.
- Work with external partners such as freelancers, photographers, and studios when a project needs them.
4. Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with marketing, brand, and product teams so the creative serves the business goal, not just the mood board.
- Present your work and explain your choices clearly, including the trade-offs you made.
- Keep twelve brands straight. Know where each one's guidelines end and where your judgement begins.
5. Raising the Bar
- Mentor junior designers. Sit with them, review their files, and help them get better faster.
- Build and maintain design systems, templates, and asset libraries that make the whole team quicker.
- Use AI tools well — image generation, video tools, upscaling, background removal — and help the team use them responsibly, in line with our guidelines on copyright, likeness, and disclosure.
- Learn from results. Track how creative performs and let it shape the next round.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Animation, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5–9 years in graphic design and motion graphics, ideally in agency, brand, or in-house settings.
- Experience leading campaigns and guiding other designers.
- A strong portfolio and showreel showing concept work, craft, and range. For each piece, state clearly what you personally did.
Tools
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
- Confident in Figma and comfortable working from or building a design system.
- Hands-on with AI creative tools such as Seedance, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, Kling, ElevenLabs or similar.
Craft & Working Style
- Excellent command of typography, layout, color, and composition.
- Strong editing and animation instincts where you know why a cut works.
- Able to manage timelines and several projects at once without dropping quality.
- Clear communication and presentation skills for working with stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently and making the call when a brief is ambiguous.
Nice to Have
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or high-volume in-house creative.
- 3D skills (Blender, Cinema 4D) for product visualization.
- Experience directing or art-directing photo and video shoots.
- Familiarity with advanced AI workflows such as ComfyUI, LoRA training, or AI upscaling.
- Background in sound design or audio mixing.
- Experience with agile workflows and tools such as Jira.
