About the project: For additional project information, please refer to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate system requirements into board-level specifications, circuit designs, and verification criteria.
- Perform component selection, schematic design, circuit calculations, and engineering trade-off analysis for high-performance SoC-based platforms.
- Design and verify power supplies, power sequencing, clock/reset circuits, memory, and peripheral interfaces.
- Implement high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, LPDDR, USB, Ethernet, and SerDes, in accordance with platform requirements and component guidelines.
- Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to define stack-ups, placement, routing constraints, impedance requirements, and review layouts prior to fabrication.
- Develop and execute board bring-up and validation plans, including power-rail checks, boot verification, interface testing, and operating-margin characterization.
- Debug board- and system-level failures using laboratory measurements, schematic analysis, and structured root-cause investigation.
- Perform power-budget and thermal analysis and support reliability, SI/PI, and EMI/EMC evaluations.
- Implement corrective design changes, verify their effectiveness, and maintain design, validation, and engineering-change documentation.
- Collaborate with software, system, mechanical, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to resolve hardware integration, prototype, component, and production issues.
- Apply DFM, DFT, reliability, EMI/EMC, and applicable automotive requirements throughout development and design release.
