Senior HR People Partner

This is a multisite role with a base at St Neots or Oakham - travel will be required, therefore a full driving license and access to a car will be required.

Great care starts with great people

Are you an experienced HR professional who wants to make a real difference to both people and the quality of care they provide?

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate and commercially-minded Senior HR People Partner to join our team and partner with our Service Managers, General Managers and Senior Management Team across our care homes.

This is more than an advisory role. You’ll have the opportunity to shape our people agenda, influence leadership, improve employee experience and help build stable, engaged teams – all while ensuring our people practices support safe, high-quality and compassionate care.

What you’ll do

You’ll be a trusted HR partner to our operational leaders, providing a blend of strategic insight and hands-on support. You’ll:

· Partner with senior leaders and General Managers on people strategy, workforce planning and organisational priorities.

· Provide expert advice on complex employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters.

· Coach managers to become more confident and capable people leaders.

· Use people data and trends to identify challenges and turn insight into practical action.

· Lead initiatives around retention, engagement, wellbeing and employee experience.

· Support workforce stability and help reduce reliance on agency staffing.

· Work alongside Recruitment and Learning & Development to strengthen onboarding, development and career pathways.

· Ensure HR practice supports safeguarding, compliance and the wellbeing of our residents.

· Lead, coach and develop an HR Officer, helping to deliver a responsive and high quality HR Service

What you’ll bring

You’ll be an experienced HR professional with a proven track record in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, People Partner or similar role.

We’re looking for someone with:

· Strong employee relations and UK employment law knowledge.

· Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills.

· The confidence to challenge, advise and support managers through difficult situations.

· Experience using people data to inform decisions and identify trends.

· The ability to balance strategic priorities with practical, hands-on HR delivery.

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to support multiple locations.

· Experience leading or developing HR colleagues.

· CIPD Level 7 or equivalent professional experience.

Experience in health and social care, safeguarding or safer recruitment would be an advantage, alongside a genuine commitment to protecting vulnerable people.

Why join us?

Your work will directly influence the experience of our colleagues – and ultimately the care our residents receive.

You’ll have the opportunity to:
