Senior Infrastructure Engineer who keeps the organization's IT systems stable and secure day to day: health monitoring, patching, virtualization and backups, Azure & OCI cloud management, automation of provisioning, and integrating cybersecurity technologies across Linux and Windows environments.
Summary
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and efficient operation across various systems.
Responsibilities:
Conduct health and availability management of all systems/components.
Troubleshoot issues with existing servers and applications in Linux and Microsoft environments.
Perform cycle patching and urgent/critical patch deployment across all systems/components.
Regularly update systems with security patches and submit monthly reports.
Provide support for the MSS IT infrastructure.
Manage policy/configuration management and optimization of all systems/components.
Develop and document internal IT infrastructure.
Perform weekly/monthly/quarterly tasks and reporting.
Manage virtualization environments and backup solutions.
Build and manage infrastructure in public clouds (Azure & OCI).
Automate various operational tasks for platform upkeep.
Automate provisioning of new customers and services across cloud and on-premises environments.
Provide expertise in integrating and administering Linux and Windows Platforms.
Integrate cybersecurity technologies in an agile environment.
Support the continuous testing, integration, and deployment of platforms.
Assist with onboarding, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and remediation.
Build new cybersecurity services platform to support services.
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in information security or IT-related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and servers.
Relevant certifications in infrastructure technologies.
Strong understanding of Microsoft domain and Active Directory.
Strong Linux administration skills.
Experience managing network security technologies like firewalls and WAF.
Experience managing virtualization environments like VMware.
Excellent documentation and diagramming skills.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
Nice to Haves:
Experience with specific cybersecurity technologies.
Familiarity with cloud service management tools.
Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
