Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Middleware Specialist (East location)

Salary: $5,500 – $6,900 per month

About the role

Support and maintain Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris servers. Install, configure, and manage middleware such as WebSphere, IBM MQ, and JBoss. Administer databases including DB2, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Manage LDAP services and user authentication systems. Support container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Perform troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and system maintenance. Assist in infrastructure sizing, deployment planning, and technical solution design. Work closely with internal teams and customers to support project delivery.

Key responsibilities

About you

• 5-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or middleware support

• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration and middleware technologies

• Good understanding of application architecture, databases, web servers, and messaging systems

• Knowledge of Unix Shell scripting

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

• Willingness to work with both legacy systems and modern cloud technologies

• Preferred: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

• Preferred: Cloud or platform certifications such as AWS, Azure, Red Hat, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

• Preferred: Experience supporting infrastructure design, sizing, and deployment activities.
