Senior Infrastructure, Security & Systems Administrators - NV2 Cleared - Defence
We have been engaged to find experienced Infrastructure Engineers, Security Engineers and Senior Systems Administrators for multiple opportunities supporting a major Australian Government ICT capability. These positions sit within secure, high-assurance ICT environments, where operational resilience, system integrity and security assurance are fundamental to successful capability delivery. Whether your background is in infrastructure engineering, platform administration or cybersecurity engineering, you’ll play a key role in ensuring enterprise technology environments remain stable, secure and ready to support operational outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
Working alongside systems engineers, solution architects and project delivery teams, you will help build, secure and sustain enterprise ICT environments throughout their lifecycle.
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
- designing, building and maintaining secure infrastructure and platform environments
- supporting system implementation, deployment and transition into operational service
- managing system configuration, patching, monitoring and lifecycle maintenance
- implementing security controls aligned to organisational security requirements
- supporting security accreditation, certification and ongoing assurance activities
- conducting vulnerability assessments, risk remediation and security hardening
- investigating operational issues and driving root cause analysis for complex technical incidents
- maintaining system availability, performance, resilience and recoverability across enterprise environments
- working closely with engineering teams to ensure operational considerations are incorporated into solution design
- contributing to technical governance, change management and continuous service improvement.
We’re seeking professionals who understand that secure environments aren’t built through individual technologies – they’re built through disciplined engineering, sound operational practices and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will likely have experience supporting complex ICT environments where availability, security and change control are equally important.
