Senior iOS Engineer — BLE, NFC & Hardware Apps

Schindler Group in Milan, Lombardy, Italy, is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to strengthen our software engineering team. You will help design and implement mobile applications interfacing with elevator control systems, hardware components and access devices, bridging digital and physical mobility.

You will lead architecture, contribute to SDK development using BLE and NFC, and collaborate with international teams to deliver robust, secure mobile solutions in an agile environment.

Contribute to the development, architecture and continuous improvement of mobile solutions interfacing with elevator control systems and hardware. Design, implement, test and evolve SDKs to interface with hardware components and access devices. Collaborate with product owners and development teams to shape software architecture and technology roadmap. Lead implementation and ensure quality through automated tests and CI practices. Support sprint planning, estimates and technical design proposals. Stay updated with emerging frameworks and evaluate their applicability. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Strong experience building hardware-centric mobile apps with strong UX. Proven API and SDK development experience. Excellent Swift-based iOS development skills. Solid understanding of BLE/NFC and offline architectures. Experience with secure coding practices.
