Senior IP Network Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage a secure and reliable network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution.
- Ensure network security through effective access control and monitoring.
- Configure and manage VPNs, ensuring secure communication.
- Utilize network diagnostic tools to monitor and analyze network performance.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to optimize network operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in network engineering.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- Industry-related experience as a Senior IP Network Engineer
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the same role
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP and optionally CCDP)
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- IP-based WANs, LANs, and transport hardware and software.
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing
protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6.)
- Familiarity with access control models and network security, Skills in securing networks
with firewalls, Cisco ASA, and other security appliances.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds
network tools)
- VPN Technologies: Experience with configuring and managing VPNs, particularly IPsec.
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)
- Implement, and manage a robust and secure network infrastructure
- Sharp troubleshooting skills
