Senior IT Executive

Salary: RM 4,300 – RM 5,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and proactive IT professional to oversee IT infrastructure, network operations, server administration, and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems while supporting business continuity, regulatory compliance, and the organization's overall IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize IT infrastructure, network performance, system capacity, and reliability to ensure smooth business operations.

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, and wireless networks.

• Administer and optimize virtualization environments, including VMware and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).

• Oversee Windows Server and Active Directory administration, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

• Manage backup, data restoration, replication, and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.

• Implement and enforce IT infrastructure, network, cloud, and cybersecurity standards to safeguard company data and systems.

• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, security standards, audit requirements, and applicable external regulations.

• Maintain accurate IT infrastructure documentation, system configurations, and asset inventories.

• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability assessments, security incident response, and risk mitigation.

• Support IT audits, security compliance reviews, and business continuity planning.

• Act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure, network, server, and cloud-related incidents.

• Collaborate with IT management, application teams, and cybersecurity personnel to align infrastructure improvements with business objectives.

• Promote knowledge sharing, teamwork, and adherence to IT best practices.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Must have solid hands-on experience and strong technical proficiency in IT infrastructure, network administration, server management, virtualization, and cybersecurity.

• Demonstrate strong technical expertise in LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, wireless networks, VMware, HCI, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex infrastructure, network, server, and system-related issues independently.

• Strong practical experience in backup and restoration, replication, disaster recovery, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability management, and network security implementation.

• Possess hands-on experience in IT infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, capacity planning, and root cause analysis.

• Solid understanding of IT security standards, audit requirements, risk management, and business continuity planning.

• Able to lead technical investigations, handle critical IT incidents, and implement effective preventive and corrective measures.

• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, technical judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Candidates applying for Senior Executive level must demonstrate the ability to lead technical initiatives, guide team members, and drive infrastructure improvements.
