As a Senior IT Project Manager – Financial Services Transformation, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution dedicated to innovative banking solutions. You will play a pivotal role in spearheading the decommissioning of a key technological system, ensuring seamless migration and preservation of critical digital channels and business processes. Your main responsibilities:
- Lead the decomposition and phased decommissioning of core banking systems to enable migration to modern architecture.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders to achieve project milestones and maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and risks to deliver results within budget and schedule.
- Develop detailed project plans using Jira, MS Project, and MS Office to track progress and communicate updates.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation phases in alignment with business and technical teams.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as PMI, Agile, or PRINCE2, and implement best practices in project management.
- Communicate effectively and negotiate successfully with diverse stakeholders, maintaining high engagement levels.
- Drive decision-making under pressure, maintaining focus on project goals and outcomes.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing large-scale IT projects within banking or major financial institutions.
- Proven expertise in software development project lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Significant experience with migration, transformation, or system modernization projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (minimum B2 level).
- Proficiency with Jira, MS Project, and the MS Office suite.
- High autonomy, responsibility, and results-oriented mindset.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Certifications such as PMI, Agile, or PRINCE2.
- Experience coordinating collaboration between back-end and front-end teams for mobile applications.
Language required for the role:
Polish and English — Fluent command of both languages.
