Senior IT Specialist

• Technical support: Provide support for both local and remote users, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  
• System maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and other IT systems. Monitor system performance and implement upgrades or patches as needed.
  
• Network management: Manage and troubleshoot network hardware (including firewalls), software, and services like email and VPNs to ensure optimal performance and security.
  
• Security and compliance: Implement and enforce IT policies, ensure data security and integrity, and adhere to cybersecurity best practices.
  
• Documentation and reporting: Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and reports.
  
• Problem-solving: Analyze system data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  
• Project management: Oversee the implementation of new technology solutions and assist with project plans.
  
• Mentorship: Mentor and provide technical guidance to other IT team members.
  

Requirements

• Technical knowledge: Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks (including LAN/WAN), operating systems (Windows Server- Linux), and relevant software applications.
  
• Problem-solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills are crucial for troubleshooting complex issues.
  
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
• Analytical skills: Ability to analyze system data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
  
• Organizational skills: Ability to organize work, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  
• Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often required, or equivalent work experience.
  
• Experience: Proven experience of 4-6 years in a similar IT role is essential.
