The Role
The Senior IT Support Engineer will act as the senior technical point of escalation, owning and resolving the most demanding incidents from initial triage through to full resolution. You'll coordinate across internal teams and third-party vendors, lead root cause investigations, and travel to customer sites when hands-on involvement is required. Alongside reactive support, you'll also contribute to improving internal standards, processes, and documentation to raise the bar across the wider team.

This is a well-established IT MSP, supporting business-critical environments across a broad range of customers. The business is built around a collaborative, people-first culture where technical expertise is valued and individuals are trusted to take ownership of their work.
The role is based onsite form their Scunthorpe offices, with travel to visit client sites when required.
What experience does the Senior IT Support Engineer need?

Strong experience working in a senior technical support or infrastructure capacity

Experience across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Azure

Practical knowledge of networking technologies, alongside virtualisation platforms and backup or disaster recovery solutions

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability with the communication skills to translate technical issues into clear language for non-technical stakeholders

A full UK driving licence and willingness to visit customer sites as required; Microsoft or networking certifications are a welcome bonus
