Senior Java Backend Developer

Summary

Builds and maintains Java-based REST APIs and services, working in Agile teams with SQL databases and cloud tools like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Salary: £70,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Strong commercial Java development experience
  • Experience designing and building REST APIs
  • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working within Agile environments
  • Linux command line experience
  • A passion for writing clean, secure and maintainable code
  • Desirable experience with Neo4j or other graph databases
  • Desirable experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Desirable experience with AWS or Azure
  • Desirable experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Desirable experience with microservices architecture
  • Experience within engineering, industrial, manufacturing or other data-intensive environments is desirable
