Senior Java Backend Developer - Spring Boot/Hibernate
Summary
Senior Java backend developer (8-12 yrs) who designs, builds, and maintains enterprise-grade microservices and REST APIs with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Hibernate on Oracle DB, including performance tuning, testing, code quality tooling, and production support. Onsite in Hyderabad 5 days a week.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, microservices, and high-performance enterprise applications. The role involves building robust APIs, optimizing application and database performance, and delivering reliable software in collaboration with cross-functional and global teams.

Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java 17/21, J2EE, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs following established architectural and coding standards.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Develop and optimize database queries, SQL operations, and application performance using Oracle Database.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and ensure code quality, security, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot application issues, support deployments, and resolve production incidents.
- Perform performance testing and tuning using tools such as JMeter and JProbe.
- Use build and code quality tools such as Maven/Gradle, SonarQube, and Black Duck.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements :
- 8 - 12 years of experience in Java backend development and enterprise application engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java 17/21, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience designing and developing microservices architectures and RESTful web services.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, and query optimization.
- Experience with JUnit, unit testing, debugging, and application performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, shell scripting, and Maven/Gradle.
- Experience with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Black Duck.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience using Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills.
- Exposure to AWS/GCP, Jenkins and CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis/GemFire, ELK Stack, or MongoDB/Cassandra is preferred.
