Senior Java Developer building scalable microservices on Alibaba Cloud using Spring Boot/Cloud, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and managing containerized deployments with Kubernetes, Docker, and multiple databases.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Develop: Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices applications using Core Java (8/11/17) and the Spring Boot / Spring Cloud ecosystem.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on Alibaba Cloud using core services like ACK (Kubernetes), ECS, RDS, and Server Load Balancers (SLB).
Architecture & Performance: Implement distributed transaction patterns, event-driven messaging pipelines (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and perform JVM tuning to maximize application throughput and stability.
Database Management: Design and optimize relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database schemas for high-load environments.
DevOps & Quality Assurance: Drive CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), code quality standards (SonarQube), and automated testing frameworks.
Security & Governance: Implement robust authentication/authorization via Spring Security and ensure compliance with cloud security policies (RAM, VPC networking).
Required Technical Skills
1. Core Java
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8, 11, or 17
Advanced proficiency in Collections Framework, Multithreading, and Concurrency
Expertise in Exception Handling, Design Patterns, and JVM Performance Tuning
2. Spring Ecosystem & Microservices
Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud
Microservices architecture patterns: Service Discovery, API Gateways, Circuit Breakers, and Distributed Transactions
Enterprise messaging systems: Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
Hibernate / JPA for efficient object-relational mapping
3. Alibaba Cloud (Ali Cloud)
Hands-on deployment and administration experience with:
Compute & Networking: ECS, SLB, VPC Networking
Containers & Orchestration: ACK (Alibaba Kubernetes Service), Container Registry
Storage & Databases: RDS, OSS (Object Storage Service)
Operations & Security: Cloud Monitor, Function Compute, RAM (Resource Access Management)
4. DevOps & Tooling
Docker & Kubernetes container orchestration
CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI
Build automation tools: Maven or Gradle
Code quality monitoring: SonarQube and Git version control
5. Databases
Relational Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
NoSQL Databases: MongoDB
Qualifications & Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven experience building and deploying large-scale enterprise applications in production environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
