Detailed Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer at AMK Technology in North Jakarta, you will take full ownership of end-to-end software development lifecycle activities, from microservices architecture design to production deployment and maintenance. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass writing clean, optimized Java code, building scalable RESTful APIs, configuring event-driven messaging pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka, and managing high-performance caching layers with Redis. You will participate in agile sprint ceremonies, conduct peer code reviews, troubleshoot complex production defects, and ensure strict compliance with enterprise security and coding standards. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting and financial services environment in Indonesia, you will drive technical excellence and software reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust enterprise applications utilizing Java and microservices-based architectures.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services, RESTful APIs, and distributed backend systems.
• Configure, optimize, and manage real-time event-driven data streaming pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka.
• Implement high-performance distributed caching layers and session management utilizing Redis.
• Execute rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and automated test execution to guarantee software quality.
• Collaborate proactively with agile product owners, software architects, and QA squads during sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects, performance bottlenecks, and concurrency issues in production.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, API specifications, and software architecture diagrams.
• Ensure strict adherence to corporate coding standards, security baselines, and quality assurance benchmarks.
• Coordinate work schedules from North Jakarta, Indonesia, ensuring commutable availability for client engagements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s (S1) or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience specializing in Java development and backend systems.
• Strong, demonstrated hands-on Java development skills and deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Extensive practical experience designing and building microservices-based applications in production environments.
• Must be an Indonesian national located within a commutable distance to North Jakarta, Indonesia.
• Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities, teamwork, and clear technical communication skills.
