Senior Java Developer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team full-time in Poland.

About the role:

As a Senior Java Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project delivering scalable and high-quality software solutions aligned with the product roadmap and modern architectural standards.

Responsibilities:

Write highly testable, automatable, and performant code across the full SDLC using high coding standards and software best practices

Develop the product and deliver features and updates according to the product roadmap

Develop and review feature design documents and provide input to update solution specifications

Participate in team activities according to the methodology, including daily meetings, planning, and retrospectives

Coach and supervise Middle and Junior Engineers based on project needs

Requirements:

Use best practices and patterns during application design and implementation

Hands‑on experience with monolith, microservice, and serverless architectural styles

In‑depth proficiency in Java, implementing applications using defensive programming

Proven experience in developing web applications using advanced framework features and industry‑standard conventions

Practical experience in writing and performance tuning of complex SQL

In‑depth proficiency with JUnit and Mockito

Experience contributing to continuous quality improvement, including conducting code reviews, setting up quality metrics, and monitoring them

Hands‑on experience with application deployment patterns and tools

Practical experience in infrastructure configuration using popular cloud providers

Experience configuring application security aspects

Practical experience in application performance optimization
