Senior Java Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team at HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing robust and scalable Java applications that drive our business objectives. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be working on cutting-edge software projects that make a real impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality Java applications using best practices and design principles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, with a focus on testability and performance
• Participate in code reviews, suggesting improvements and identifying potential issues
• Troubleshoot and debug complex problems, providing timely resolutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends
• Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your expertise and knowledge

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Java Developer
• Proficient in Java programming, including experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Maven
• Hands-on experience with databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
