Summary
Senior Java developer building and evolving enterprise applications on a monolithic architecture with Java 21, EJB, JPA/Hibernate and REST services. Day-to-day covers the full SDLC: solution design, implementation, unit testing, CI/CD deployments, SonarQube quality checks and code reviews.
What we are looking for:
A Senior Java Developer to join a collaborative software engineering environment and contribute to the development and evolution of enterprise applications.
You will work with Java 21, EJB, JPA/Hibernate and REST services within a monolithic architecture, participating across the complete software development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation to testing, continuous integration and deployment.
What you’ll do:
Participate in the design and development of enterprise solutions using Java 21.
Develop and maintain applications based on a monolithic architecture.
Design, develop and integrate REST services.
Work with EJB, JPA and Hibernate.
Create and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
Participate in CI/CD processes, including application deployment to servers.
Use code quality and security analysis tools such as SonarQube.
Take part in code reviews through Pull Requests or Merge Requests.
Work with relational databases and contribute to data integration activities.
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Must-haves:
At least 8 years of professional experience in Java development for candidates with a university degree.
At least 11 years of professional experience in Java development for candidates without a university degree.
Professional experience with Java 21.
Solid experience with EJB.
Experience with JPA and Hibernate.
Experience designing, developing or integrating REST services and REST APIs.
Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Experience developing unit tests.
Experience with CI/CD processes and tools.
Experience with code quality and static analysis tools such as SonarQube.
Experience participating in code reviews through Pull Requests or Merge Requests.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative mindset and commitment to software quality.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience with or knowledge of Elasticsearch.
Experience with enterprise application servers such as JBoss, WildFly, WebLogic or WebSphere.
Knowledge of build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Previous experience maintaining or modernising large-scale enterprise applications.
Knowledge of application security and secure coding practices.
