This position is for a seniorJava/Database developer (5-7 years experienced ideally) for SecuritiesReference Data. The candidate will be a part of a business-oriented squad ofdevelopers focused on the build-out and maintenance of various applications inthe existing SRD platforms as well as ongoing renovation efforts.
In this role, the candidatewill frequently liaise with other members of squad as well as other globalsquads, stakeholders, to perform their daily tasks.
Candidate will have anopportunity to work directly with the users, business analyst, translatebusiness requirements into technical architecture and independently managetheir end-to-end deliverables.
Further the candidate needsto have strong skills of executing tasks with due diligence and it will be abig advantage for them to be familiar with financial jargon especiallyapplicable to reference data domain.
Position Description
The candidate should have 5-7years of relevant IT experience, preferably in Financial Services or WealthManagement organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated teamplayer committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with minimalsupervision.
Skills Required
- Good understanding ofone core programming languages (Java or Python)
- RDBMS (Well versed withSQL, DB fundamentals like tables, triggers, , stored Procs etc.)
- Comfortable with workingin Linux env
- Comfortable with usingAI coding agents (Github Copilot etc.)
- JSON, XML Schemas
- Good understanding ofSDLC methodologies
- Ability to communicatein a clear and concise manner; individually or in front of a group
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong communicationskills
- Strong sense ofownership and accountability for work
- Candidate will berequired to work geographically dispersed teams.
Good to have skills
- Knowledge of open-sourceframeworks: Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate.
- REST APIs, Microservices
