We’re looking for a senior Java engineer who can design and ship Spring-based services, shape Angular UIs, and move comfortably between greenfield work and production systems. You’ll use modern AWS patterns and still be happy to work with established integration (including IBM MQ). If you like variety, this role has it: you’ll work across a portfolio of applications that need to talk to each other.

You’ll be doing
- Designing and building Java / Spring Boot services (Security, Data JPA, Mongo)
- Front-end work with Angular + Material
- REST and SOAP integrations, plus messaging (JMS, IBM MQ, AWS SQS)
- Cloud deploy and observability (AWS, DataDog / Micrometer / Prometheus)
- Tests that matter: JUnit, Mockito, BDD (Cucumber / Karate), plus helping testers keep automation alive
- Domain models mapped cleanly to JPA; support in non-prod and prod
You’ll thrive if you have
- 10+ years’ software experience and a relevant IT degree or diploma
- 2–4 years in financial services (investment experience is a plus)
- Strong OO design, design patterns, and Agile delivery
- Hands‑on with Oracle / PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Gradle, Git / GitLab, Flyway or MongoCK, SonarQube
- Comfort with OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, LDAP/AD, and REST security
- Willingness to switch context across 15–20 applications and coach others as you go
Nice to have Docker / Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, Postman / SoapUI suites, DataDog, AI-assisted development, IBM MQ queue setup, FICA / CDD exposure.
