About the role:
Join a technology team as a Java Developer, contributing to high-quality software solutions, continuous service improvements, and innovative product enhancements. You will work across application design, development, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and project delivery while helping ensure solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with customer and business needs.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and build systems on the Java platform using modern techniques, tools, and utilities.
Design, code, debug, test, and prototype reliable software applications.
Provide continuous service improvements to prevent or eliminate incidents and problems and improve service quality for end customers.
Lead projects by defining tasks, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements.
Communicate directly with end customers regarding support requirements.
Prepare technical documentation during requirements analysis and prototyping.
Ensure deliverables meet high standards for fitness for purpose, application design, and code quality.
Recommend and apply quality-checking tools and practices.
Conduct research and development initiatives to identify technical features that improve product usage.
Analyse application issues and provide innovative, integrated solutions.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's or college degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer, with expertise in application analysis and troubleshooting.
Excellent skills in software design, coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping.
Ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop creative solutions.
Ability to analyse user requirements and specifications and translate them into program code.
Knowledge of programming languages relevant to project specifications and industry requirements.
Experience with business domain processes is preferred but not required.
Strong technical documentation, communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills.
