Builds and modernizes a vehicle service-scheduling app in Java/Spring, React front-end, and Docker, migrating from monolith to microservices.

Hourly Rate: up to 170 PLN
Location: Wroclaw, Poland
Work arrangement: hybrid, twice per week in the office in Wroclaw - to be determined, full-time
Project description:
VOSP application is a service scheduling system that makes it possible to tailor an optimized service schedule for individual vehicles according to their specification and transport conditions.
VOSP maximizes vehicle uptime through better planning of workshop visits and more efficient use of workshop time.
The team is on the journey towards an extensive modernization of the application, moving from a monolith structure to a microservices architecture.
Vital features are being rewritten to simplify the business flow in the application.
Responsibilities:
- be a member of the Trucks and Buses aftermarket team,
- become a recognized specialist in Java to share good practices,
- be a mentor for other developers,
- have an impact on the development of a crucial product.
Requirements:
- at least 7 years of experience with Java 8+,
- knowledge of front-end technologies (React),
- good understanding of unit testing (JUnit),
- good understanding of test automation,
- knowledge of the Spring MVC pattern,
- hands-on experience with relational databases and ORM (Hibernate, SQL),
- understanding of the containerization concept (Docker),
- practical knowledge of microservices architecture.
Nice to have:
- DevSecOps skills (Azure Cloud, JBOSS),
- knowledge of front-end technologies (Backbone, Marionette).
