Senior Java fullstack Developer

As Software Technical Lead, you guide a hands-on development team to design and deliver bespoke software for government-facing services. You’ll shape solution architectures, drive full-stack development, and ensure quality and security across cloud-based deployments. You work in an Agile, collaborative environment, translating client needs into practical technical solutions. • Lead and support a software engineering team
• Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions
• Provide technical direction and client communications
• Produce solution architectures and technical designs
• Build full‑stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript
• Design and deploy cloud-based solutions (AWS)
• Create CI pipelines (GitLab)
• Manage full SDLC from requirements to maintenance
• Deploy software to public/private clouds
• Promote high standards of software quality, security and engineering practice

• Strong commercial Java development experience
• Experience designing and building AWS-based solutions
• Full-stack experience with JavaScript, React and TypeScript
• Experience leading engineers or providing technical direction
• Understanding of software architecture and design
• Experience across the full SDLC
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to translate customer challenges into practical technical solutions
• Consultancy experience is a plus but not essential
