A government agency is seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop and maintain secure, scalable and highavailability backend systems to support critical public service digital platforms.
This role need to work with crossfunctional teams to build robust, compliant and citizencentric applications that adhere to strict government security and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test and deploy highquality Javabased applications and microservices for government systems
- Collaborate with analysts, architects and project teams to translate business requirements into stable technical solutions
- Ensure code quality, security, performance and compliance with government IT policies and standards
- Participate in full system development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance and support continuous delivery
- Work with databases, APIs, cloud services and modern frameworks to build reliable backend services
- Maintain clear documentation and support knowledge sharing across the team
Requirements:
- Strong handson experience in Java development (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA / Hibernate preferred)
- Practical experience with relational databases (SQL), RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with software development best practices: code review, unit testing, CI/CD
- Understanding of system security, data protection and compliance requirements in government projects
- Good problemsolving skills and ability to work in a structured, deadlinedriven environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with crossagency stakeholders
