We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance high-performance, scalable enterprise applications capable of handling high-volume, low-latency workloads. As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting scalable solutions, driving technical design decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver modern enterprise applications. You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from translating business requirements into technical solutions to optimizing application performance, improving system reliability, and adopting emerging technologies that enhance product capabilities.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, JPA,and RESTful APIs.
- Build and optimize distributed systems and microservices capable of supporting real-time, event-driven workloads.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and architecture teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and low-level designs.
- Lead software design discussions, define application architecture, and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Identify application bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance optimization strategies.
- Develop resilient, highly available services while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Work with databases and data platforms including MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and DynamoDB to optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)while leveraging managed cloud services.
- Evaluate new technologies, open-source frameworks, and engineering trends to improve product quality and development efficiency.
- Participate in Agile development processes, code reviews, mentoring activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 4+ years of experience developing scalable enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, JPA, and RESTful Web Services.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven application design.
- Hands-on experience working with MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, DynamoDB, or similar data platforms.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong foundation in computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
- Experience building highly available, low-latency, and fault-tolerant backend systems.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Angular, or D3.js is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies, CI/CD practices, and collaborative engineering workflows.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive complex technical initiatives.
