Senior JAVA Software Engineer
The Sports Data & Odds Engineering organization is responsible for developing, delivering, and operating a broad portfolio of products that power Sportradar's global sports data and betting ecosystem - processing millions of real-time events every day for media companies, sports federations, betting operators, and consumer apps across 120 countries.
Working closely with rights holders, media organizations, and betting partners, our teams build and maintain highly scalable systems that support the collection, processing, analysis, and distribution of sports data and odds across more than 30 sports disciplines, including e-sports.
The development teams based in Warsaw and Wroclaw contribute to multiple products and initiatives across these domains, building distributed systems that operate at global scale, process millions of events daily, and deliver mission-critical services that are available 24/7.

ABOUT YOU:
You are an experienced engineer who can independently design, build, and operate complex software systems. You enjoy solving challenging technical problems, mentoring teammates, and influencing engineering decisions beyond your immediate deliverables.
Required:
- You have 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise
- You can design and deliver distributed systems in production, and you understand what it takes to keep them running
- You take ownership of complex initiatives independently - from architecture decisions to post-incident reviews
- You mentor others naturally and perform technical reviews that are direct, constructive, and useful
- You have a deep understanding of testing strategy, CI/CD, and what engineering excellence looks like in practice
- You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and know how to land a difficult message
- Experience with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and microservices at scale is a strong advantage
