Senior Manager, Business Development, CP
Responsibility We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Channel Partner (CP) Business Development (Sr.) Manager to join our China team, focusing on business strategy planning for building, recruiting, and scaling Walmart Marketplace's Channel Partner ecosystem. The primary objective of this role is to drive more high-quality Sellers to onboard and develop on Walmart through strategic cooperation with Channel Partners. You will recruit, enable, and drive strategic Channel Partners' business growth on Walmart, leveraging these partnerships as a key channel to source, onboard, and grow high-quality Sellers at scale. You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the China Channel Partner ecosystem and the broader cross-border e-commerce industry, and for translating that knowledge into actionable recruitment and growth strategies. You will drive initiatives/projects with cross-functional teams to improve both internal efficiencies and external Channel Partner and Seller experiences. You are also expected to learn continuously from your own work, distill repeatable best practices and playbooks, and scale these learnings across the entire team — strengthen the team's capabilities, accelerating its development, and enabling it to grow rapidly and deliver sustainable, compounding business results. Basic Requirement • 8 ~ 10 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, with meaningful exposure to the Channel Partner ecosystem. • B2B/B2C business development experience recruiting or managing Channel Partners and/or numbers of customers. • In-depth knowledge of the China Channel Partner (CP) ecosystem — including agencies, TP (third-party) service providers, and operating partners — and how they support cross-border Sellers. • Strong understanding of the cross-border e-commerce industry, including platform models, Channel Partner models, Seller operating models, and the supporting service landscape. • Demonstrated ability to engage, communicate with, and collaborate with industry associations, cross-border e-commerce organizations, and ecosystem stakeholders. • Strong BD skills — the ability to identify, recruit, negotiate with, and grow high-quality Channel Partners and sellers. • Proven ability to drive business performance through the enablement of Channel Partners — setting targets, coaching partners, and delivering measurable results. • Ability to distill personal best practices into repeatable playbooks that raise team effectiveness. • Strong English written and verbal skills. • Ability to work with strategic Channel Partners, large Sellers, and famous brands. • Ability to prioritize work in a complex, fast-paced environment, and work with cross functional teams. • Ability to initiate, lead, and manage projects outside of primary responsibility. • Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications • Established network within the China cross-border e-commerce ecosystem — Channel Partners, associations, and service providers. • Strong willingness to learn new things preferred. • Strong ability to work independently and think critically and logically. • Experience with e-commerce platform or premium Channel Partner would be an advantage. • Experience influencing and organizing others through managing projects and ecosystem stakeholders. • Strong ability in data mining and analysis to identify opportunities and measure ecosystem performance. Walmart, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer By Choice. We believe we are best equipped to help our associates, customers and the communities we serve live better when we really know them. That means understanding, respecting and valuing unique styles, experiences, identities, ideas and opinions while being welcoming of all people. Walmart doesn’t charge any recruitment or similar fee in the recruitment process, including but not limited to interview, offering, and onboarding.
