By delivering efficient energy solutions and pioneering innovative water resource management, we enable the growth of vibrant, future-ready communities.</span></p><p class="pf0"></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><b><br /></b></span></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><b>Purpose and Scope</b></span></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0">Lead the Vietnam HSSE function to ensure effective implementation of Sembcorp HSSE policies, standards and procedures, compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and provision of governance and assurance across development, construction and operational assets. The role is responsible for driving HSSE excellence, strengthening contractor management, and providing strategic HSSE leadership across multiple projects and sites in Vietnam.</span></p><p class="pf0"></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><b>Key Roles and Responsibilities</b></span></p><p class="pf0"></p><ul><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Lead and manage the Vietnam HSSE team, providing direction, coaching and support to achieve business and HSSE objectives.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Develop, implement and continuously improve HSSE strategies, policies, programmes and initiatives in alignment with Sembcorp requirements and applicable statutory regulations.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Provide HSSE governance, oversight and assurance for development, construction and operational assets, ensuring </span><span class="cf2">e</span><span class="cf1">ffective implementation of risk management processes and critical risk controls.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Support business and project teams in achieving compliance with legal, regulatory and corporate HSSE requirements.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Lead contractor HSSE management and assurance programmes, including evaluations, audits, inspections, performance reviews and corrective action monitoring.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Drive implementation of HSSE management systems and monitor performance through audits, inspections, investigations and assurance activities.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Lead and facilitate incident investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis, corrective action implementation and sharing of lessons learnt.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Advise management on HSSE risks, regulatory developments, emerging issues and improvement opportunities.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities, contractors, consultants, customers and relevant external stakeholders on HSSE matters.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Lead emergency preparedness, crisis management and business continuity initiatives, including emergency exercises and response planning.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Monitor and report HSSE performance trends, key risks and assurance findings to management and corporate stakeholders.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Foster a positive HSSE culture and drive continuous improvement across all business activities.</span></li></ul><p class="pf0"></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><b>Qualification, Skills, and Experience</b></span></p><p class="pf0"></p><ul><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Management or related discipline.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Valid Occupational Safety and Hygiene Training Certificate (Group 2) in accordance with Vietnamese regulatory requirements.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience, including significant experience in construction and industrial operations.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Proven experience leading HSSE teams and overseeing multiple construction projects and operational sites.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Strong knowledge of Vietnamese construction, occupational safety, environmental and fire safety regulations.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Fluent in written and spoken English and Vietnamese, with the ability to effectively liaise with Singapore-based management and corporate stakeholders.</span></li><li class="pf1"><span class="cf1">Certified Safety Auditor, NEBOSH, CSP or equivalent professional HSSE qualification would be an advantage.</span></li></ul><p class="pf0"></p><p class="pf0"></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><b><br /></b></span></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0"><b>Our Culture at Sembcorp</b></span></p><p class="pf0"></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0">At Sembcorp, our culture is shaped by a strong set of shared behaviours that guide the way we work and uphold our commitment to driving the energy transition.</span></p><p class="pf0"></p><p class="pf0"><span class="cf0">We foster an institution-first mindset, where the success of Sembcorp takes precedence over individual interests.
