Senior Manager, Lease Administration

Compass is looking for a strategic, high-performing Senior Manager of Real Estate Lease Administration to help manage ~2,000+ locations within our national office portfolio. This role will oversee our offshore lease administration function and team, including lease abstraction, database management, reconciliations, rent roll and audit services, while partnering with the broader Real Estate and Lease Administration teams to ensure data accuracy, lease compliance, and adherence to Compass’s business standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a large and complex portfolio and team. You will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining consistent lease administration processes, ensuring key lease terms and critical dates are accurately captured and maintaining the team’s KPI’s.
Responsibilities
- Act as a team lead to manage preparation of monthly rent roll in accordance with lease provisions
- Compare and evaluate operating expense and tax reconciliation statements for Compass’s lease portfolio
- Communicate with Landlords regarding lease payments and charges
- Prepare reports of findings and ensure accurate credits and charges are recorded.
- Act as team lead overseeing the preparation of CAM reconciliations for accuracy and adherence to Compass standards.
- Knowledge of full-scope desktop and annual audits for corporate leases and recommend actions for audit recovery.
- Create training procedures for operating expense reconciliation and tenant recovery preparation.
- Manage the team towards abstracting leases timely and accurately per our KPI’s
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of job discipline and related functions.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with United States lease practices, terms and conditions, customs and practices.
- Costar Experience a plus
- Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products, including Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $143,300 - $160,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
This is an office-based role, with our New York City Flatiron office (110 Fifth Ave.) as the preferred location. Our Madison, NJ office (175 Park Ave.) is also an option.
