Senior Manager - Ops-Exports
Key Result Areas -
Provide advice and consultation to commercial customers related to Export Finance, Export Payments, Document Checking, Letter of Credit Advising/Confirmation/Transfer, Collections, Risk Participation.
Provide advice and consultation to Product Development Team with respect to Trade Finance activities in accordance with International Practices and ICC Publications/OPM/APPM/Local Rules and Regulations.
Ensure all procedures that are developed comply with Bank Policy and Guidelines.
Review customer complaints and take immediate action to satisfy them.
Ensure MBOs achieved on time.
Exercise due diligence in checking applications particularly for Priority Customers, High value transactions, request for Back to back Letters of Credit/ Red clause letter of credit.
Ensure SLA adherence. All processing should be as per SOP/OPM’s and UCP/ISBP as applicable and approved as Product Program. Charges recovery to be as per the extant guidelines.
Perform sanction checking of relevant parties in documents, checks related to TBML
Handle Commodity Trade Operations documents
Ensure no unattended reconciliation entries pending in Nostro or Internal accounts on daily basis.
Ensure cross skilling for entire team in at least 2 more products.

Problem Solving
Managing customers’ expectations, Ideation and leading automation projects
Running daily Team Huddles and showing enough Teamwork to provide solutions to any issues
Ensure solutions are implemented on fast track basis and work closely with onshore unit to ensure seamless client delivery.
Audit observations if any, must be closed in an effective and timely manner.
Ensures efficient processing of transactions, adherence to service standard and quality services to both internal and external customers.
Recommends actions in relation to changes in law, Rules of International Chamber of Commerce, Government regulations and bank policies which will affect the import transactions.
Decision Making Authority & Responsibility
Taking corrective and preventive action based on Customer complaints, Ops error and quality/RCSA analysis.
Recommend changes in SOP, OPM & ADM with an aim to improve service levels without compromising on controls.
Recommend trainings and workshops to plug knowledge gap and embed ‘Ownership of resolution’ at grass-root level for effective results
Immediately escalates any error/customer complaints/service defect/issues raised by counter party and ensures recording in appropriate system.
Shares responsibility with his/her seniors.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Graduate with thorough and in depth understanding of Trade Finance products and functions.
CDCS/CITF/CTFP certified
Thorough understanding of Swift, Trade Finance and Financial Operating Systems.
General Banking knowledge.
A Minimum of 9-12 years’ experience in Trade Finance.
Strong Communications and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PPT)
Attentive to details, strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
Able to work under pressure, excellent organizational skills and good team player.
