Senior MEP Manager
Location: Athens - Greece
Reporting: Project Director
Hill International is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Manager to join its team in Athens.
The role combines pre-construction/design-phase responsibilities with on-site supervision during the construction phase, ensuring that MEP systems are designed, coordinated, and delivered in full compliance with project requirements.The successful candidate will act as a technical authority across both design and construction, supporting the project from early-stage development through to completion.

Pre-Construction & Design Phase
Lead and manage MEP design coordination during concept, schematic, and detailed design stages
Review and validate MEP design deliverables prepared by designers and specialist consultants
Ensure compliance with local codes, international standards, and client technical requirements
Provide input on constructability, value engineering, lifecycle cost analysis, and sustainability
Coordinate MEP interfaces with architectural, structural, and civil disciplines
Support tendering activities, including technical specifications, BOQs, and contractor evaluations
Identify design risks and propose mitigation measures prior to construction commencement
Construction Phase – Site Supervision
Supervise and monitor MEP works on site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and schedules
Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and test plans
Coordinate MEP activities with main contractors, subcontractors, and other site disciplines
Monitor quality, progress, and safety of MEP installations
Participate in site inspections, technical meetings, and progress reviews
Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions
Support testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems
Provide technical support during defects liability period, as required
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage)
10+ years of professional experience in MEP engineering
Proven experience in both MEP design / pre-construction and construction-phase site supervision
Experience on medium-to-large-scale building projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, or complex facilities.
Experience working within consultancy, PMC, or Engineer’s Representative roles is an advance
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
Strong reporting, communication, and leadership skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken); Greek language skills are highly desirable
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination tools is an advantage
Professional knowledge of the English language
The candidate should be based in or be eligible to work in Greece and be fluent in the Greek language.
