Senior Named Account Executive DACH
You will own a broad book of enterprise business, from new prospects to existing accounts. You will manage the full sales cycle, align GitLab’s DevSecOps value proposition with customer outcomes, maintain evidence-based pipeline and account information, and partner with technical, marketing, business development, and customer success colleagues. You will analyze wins and losses, improve sales practices, and share customer feedback through the public issue tracker.
Responsibilities
- Own a broad book of enterprise business across new prospects and existing accounts
- Manage the full sales cycle from discovery and solution alignment through negotiation and close
- Articulate the DevSecOps value proposition and align it with customer business outcomes
- Analyze wins and losses, contribute to root-cause analyses, and share lessons learned
- Document and maintain buying criteria, buying processes, next steps, and owners
- Improve the sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices
- Provide account leadership across pre-sales and post-sales activities
- Represent the voice of the customer through product feedback and public issue tracker contributions
Requirements
- Demonstrate proven success in software sales, ideally in an enterprise market context
- Guide customers through the full buying journey
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and account plans based on evidence
- Conduct and contribute to win/loss and root-cause analyses
- Demonstrate negotiation, presentation, and commercial discussion skills
- Show interest in GitLab and open-source software
- Demonstrate familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management
- Be willing to travel in line with company policy
- Speak fluent German
