Senior .NET Application Support Developer

About the role

One Workforce Global is seeking a skilled Senior .NET Developer (Legacy Systems & Modernization) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys owning and supporting mission-critical applications while driving gradual modernization initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of a legacy Microsoft-based platform while helping transition key components to modern technologies. This is a hands-on opportunity for a problem solver who thrives in both application support and software development environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms applications

• Develop, optimize, and support SQL Server stored procedures, queries, and database functionality

• Investigate and resolve application, server, and integration-related issues

• Manage IIS-hosted application deployments and support production environments

• Create, maintain, and improve PowerShell scripts and automated workflows

• Support PDF generation, reporting systems, and document automation processes

• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement feature enhancements and technical improvements

• Contribute to modernization initiatives, including migrating legacy .NET applications to newer platforms

About you

• VB.NET and/or C# development

• ASP.NET Web Forms development and support

• Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and Stored Procedures

• IIS administration and troubleshooting

• PowerShell scripting and automation

• Legacy application maintenance and modernization

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies and the .NET ecosystem

• Proven experience supporting and maintaining production business applications

• Strong understanding of web application architecture, troubleshooting, and deployment processes

• Experience working with US-based clients

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision

• Experience delivering application improvements while maintaining system stability and performance
