Senior Network Engineer DNS, DHCP & IPAM
Summary
Senior Network Engineer maintains and secures DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure for a large enterprise in Qatar, troubleshooting issues and hardening against DNS-based attacks.
We're looking for an experienced Resident Engineer – DDI (DNS, DHCP & IP Address Management) to support and manage a mission-critical enterprise DDI environment for one of Qatar's leading organizations.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of the organization's DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure while working closely with operations, security, and vendor teams to deliver a resilient and secure network environment.
Key Responsibilities
DDI Operations & Support
- Manage, administer, and maintain enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) platforms.
- Perform proactive health checks, monitoring, and performance validation.
- Troubleshoot incidents, outages, and configuration issues.
- Support maintenance windows, upgrades, and operational activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendor TAC for escalations.
Configuration & Administration
- Configure and maintain DNS zones, DHCP scopes, IPAM databases, and Grid infrastructure.
- Implement configuration changes and system enhancements.
- Support DDI integrations with SIEM platforms and security solutions.
- Perform software upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
Security & Compliance
- Administer DNS Firewall, RPZ policies, and threat intelligence integrations.
- Monitor and respond to DNS-based attacks including malware, DNS tunneling, and command-and-control communications.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, Zero Trust principles, RBAC, and least privilege access.
- Maintain audit logs and security documentation.
Design & Optimization
- Recommend improvements to DDI architecture, resiliency, redundancy, and capacity.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization.
- Support implementation of advanced DDI capabilities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and configuration records.
- Prepare operational reports, RCA documentation, risk logs, and change reports.
- Develop SOPs and operational best practices.
Knowledge Transfer
- Conduct technical knowledge transfer sessions.
- Mentor internal engineering teams on DDI technologies and operational procedures.
Requirements
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in enterprise networking.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience managing enterprise DDI platforms.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or telecom environments.
