Senior / Network Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and support enterprise and data centre network infrastructure.
• Monitor network availability, capacity and performance to ensure service reliability and SLA compliance.
• Perform network configuration, provisioning, installation, migration, upgrades and maintenance.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support and troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, VPN, wireless and connectivity issues.
• Support customer projects, network implementation and onsite activities when required.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP addressing plans, configuration records, SOPs and MOP documentation.
• Support change management, including implementation planning, risk assessment, rollback and post-change validation.
• Perform network security hardening, firmware updates, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Work with internal teams, vendors and service providers on incident resolution and project delivery.
• Participate in after-office-hours standby and scheduled maintenance when required.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, IT, Computer/Network Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise, data centre or managed network environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, NAT, DNS and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks and load balancers.
• Experience in network implementation, migration, troubleshooting and change management.
• Good understanding of network security and infrastructure hardening.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• CCNP certification preferred.
• Fortinet NSE, HPE Aruba, A10 or ITIL certifications would be advantageous.
