Senior Network & Systems Engineer (Infrastructure & Resilience) | EAT
Salary: $6,000 – $6,500 per month
About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of an established technology partner supporting a large-scale, always-on production environment in Singapore. This role owns the network layer that keeps a high-volume, latency-sensitive data service running, spanning data centre infrastructure, carrier connectivity, and resilience design.
You will be the person who makes sure the pipes never go down, and the person who gets it back fast when something does.
Contract & Working Arrangements
1-year contract
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm
Participation in a 24/7 standby roster for critical network incidents
What You'll Do
Design, operate, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and supporting network infrastructure across production and DR environments
Monitor network performance and proactively surface connectivity issues before they affect service delivery
Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and leased-line connectivity, including day-to-day engagement with telco providers
Configure and maintain redundancy, routing policies, and failover mechanisms to minimise service disruption
Troubleshoot incidents end to end and coordinate restoration with vendors and service providers
Carry out capacity planning and performance optimisation
Implement security controls, access management, and network hardening
Support data centre cabling, hardware changes and replacements, and equipment lifecycle management
Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, and technical documentation
Contribute to continuity planning and incident response readiness
What We're Looking For
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
At least 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching
Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or equivalent platforms
Understanding of high-availability architecture and redundancy design
Experience dealing with telecommunications carriers and leased-line services
Strong analytical and incident management skills, with sound judgement under pressure
Willingness to participate in a standby roster for a service where downtime is not an option
