Data Center Network Engineer
Salary: $5,000 – $7,500 per month
About the role
This role involves managing network architecture, daily operations, fault response, security compliance, and documentation for data center and distributed systems. You will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure stability and high availability, while collaborating with multiple teams to optimize performance and security.
Key responsibilities
Set up, configure, and maintain data center network to ensure network stability and high availability
Participate in network architecture design, optimization, and implementation to improve network performance and security
Configure, debug, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancing devices
Monitor network performance, analyze traffic anomalies, delays, and packet losses, and promptly troubleshoot and resolve issues
Regularly inspect, maintain, and upgrade firmware of network equipment to ensure stable system operation
Develop and implement emergency plans for network failures, quickly locate, analyze, and solve sudden failures
Write network operation and maintenance documents, fault reports and solutions, and continuously optimize DevOps flow
Formulate and implement corporate cyber security policies, ensuring data security, access control, and permission management
Cooperate with the security team to handle security incidents such as network attacks, DDoS defense, and traffic cleaning
Write and update DevOps flow, configuration changes, and operation manuals
About you
Bachelor's degree or above, major in computer network, information security, communication engineering, or related field
More than 5 years of experience in network operation and maintenance or data center operation and maintenance
Familiar with TCP/IP protocol stack and network technologies such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLAN, VXLAN
Proficient in configuring and maintaining mainstream network equipment such as Huawei, Cisco, Ruijie, H3C, Juniper
Familiar with load balancing devices (such as F5, Nginx), firewalls (such as Fortinet, Palo Alto) and other products
Basic operation and maintenance ability of Linux system
Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities, able to quickly locate and resolve network failures
Good communication skills and teamwork spirit, able to work closely with development, product, and security teams
Experience in large-scale distributed system/GPU cluster operation and maintenance preferred
Proficiency in Shell, Python and other scripting languages preferred; relevant certifications such as CCNP, HCNP, JNCIP preferred
