Senior Paralegal - Litigation

JOB PURPOSE

As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, you’ll manage a legal support team while maintaining a caseload of litigation matters from initiation through resolution. This includes managing and coaching staff, overseeing case progress, and collaborating on case strategy and operational efficiencies. This also includes overseeing case progress, drafting and revising pleadings and discovery, coordinating filings and schedules, conducting legal research, and facilitating communication among clients, attorneys, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and trial readiness.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, you’ll:

Lead and supervise a team of litigation paralegals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

Coordinate workload distribution to ensure balanced caseloads and efficient case progression across the team.

Manage a docket of litigation cases from beginning to end, including organizing files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with attorneys and team.

Draft and revise pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and disclosures in compliance with court rules and attorney case plans.

Communicate with clients, attorneys, experts, witnesses, adjusters, and opposing counsel to provide updates, gather information, and resolve issues.

Collect, review, and summarize depositions, exhibits, medical records, bills, and discovery materials to support case strategy and trial preparation.

Coordinate court filings, schedule depositions and hearings, interface with courts, and maintain litigation calendars and deadline summaries.

Conduct legal research on case law, procedural rules, and jurisdictional requirements to ensure compliance and support attorneys.

Utilize case management software to manage discovery, organize files, track case values, and document all work for accurate case files.

Collaborate with attorneys, firm administrator and other departments to improve workflows, enhance client service, and support strategic goals.
