Senior Platform Engineer — Remote Data Infrastructure Lead

Wonderflow Foundation in Italy is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help scale our data scraping infrastructure, from crawling to processing.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor teammates, and own observability, with a focus on performance, reliability and fast iteration. Join a small Data Platform team building tools used by global customers and shaping the technical direction from day one.

Maintaining and extending our web scraping pipeline and automation systems. Improving observability and monitoring systems to keep our data collection healthy. Technical mentoring and code reviews that elevate team quality. Account management tooling and operational infrastructure. Shaping decisions on how to build systems that enable the team to move faster and smarter. Significant experience building and scaling web applications and data systems in production. Strong proficiency with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB). Track record of designing and owning complex systems end-to-end. Experience building APIs, monitoring systems, and operational tooling. Comfort with both full-stack development and infrastructure thinking. Track record of mentoring junior engineers and improving code quality through technical leadership. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed issues. Clear communication and the ability to explain technical decisions to the team.
