Description

We are looking for an Engineering Lead - Power Electronics to lead our hardware, firmware and validation teams and take new power electronics products from concept to production. You will own architecture, design, prototype bring-up, validation, certification and production release across low-voltage EV chargers, high-voltage power modules and converters, and hybrid and bidirectional inverters. This is a deep hardware role first: we are looking for genuine power-conversion expertise, not general electronics experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead hardware, firmware and validation engineers across parallel power electronics product programs.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of new products, from requirements and architecture through to production release.
  • Define product architecture, engineering milestones, design reviews and release criteria.
  • Review and guide power-conversion hardware including PFC, LLC, PSFB, Dual Active Bridge, CLLC, bidirectional buck-boost and active front-end AC-DC architectures.
  • Guide magnetics, power stages, sensing, protection and PCB design decisions down to component level.
  • Guide embedded firmware, digital control, communication, protection and diagnostics.
  • Drive prototype bring-up, high-power debugging, EMI/EMC, thermal, safety and reliability validation.
  • Establish structured EVT, DVT and PVT processes ahead of production release.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain so designs are manufacturable, reliable and scalable.
  • Lead failure analysis, design improvements and continuous cost and reliability optimisation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on power electronics product development in industry.
  • Proven track record of taking power electronics products from architecture to production.
  • Strong experience with AC-DC and DC-DC converters, PFC, LLC, PSFB, DAB, CLLC and bidirectional power conversion.
  • Strong command of magnetics, power semiconductors, digital control and firmware-controlled power conversion.
  • Hands-on prototype bring-up, high-power debugging, EMI/EMC, thermal and reliability testing.
  • Depth at subsystem and component level, backed by hand calculations, simulation or model-based design.

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience with EV chargers, onboard chargers, DC-DC converters, hybrid inverters, BESS PCS or V2G/V2H systems.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary hardware and firmware teams.
  • Experience building modular or platform-based product architectures.
