Senior/ Principal Technical Marketing Manager for CloudCasa

We are looking for an experienced technical marketing manager to own how CloudCasa is explained, demonstrated, and seen in the market.

This is a senior individual-contributor role that combines marketing craft with genuine depth in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, storage, and data protection. You will own CloudCasa's technical marketing materials, our joint marketing with technology and channel partners, and the product's visibility across the ecosystem, working closely with product management, engineering, sales, support, customers, and partners.

We expect you to develop a clear point of view, make recommendations, and drive decisions forward. CloudCasa is built and marketed by a closely connected cross-functional team, so messaging, priorities, campaigns, and launches are shaped together rather than handed down.

The role is hands-on. You should be comfortable moving between customer conversations, writing technical content, building and recording demos, briefing partners and analysts, launch planning, and installing and testing the product yourself. At Principal level, we would also expect you to strengthen technical marketing practice across the team and to mentor colleagues.

What You'll Do:

  • Own CloudCasa's technical marketing materials end to end: solution briefs, whitepapers, reference architectures, technical blogs, competitive comparisons, demo scripts, videos, and web content.
  • Translate the product's capabilities into messaging and positioning that resonates with platform engineers, Kubernetes administrators, backup and storage architects, and the executives who fund them.
  • Build and maintain a technical demo and proof-of-concept library, including recorded demos, hands-on labs, and reproducible test scenarios for backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and migration.
  • Own joint marketing with technology partners such as cloud providers, Kubernetes platform vendors, and storage vendors, covering co-branded assets, joint solution briefs, marketplace listings, webinars, and partner-facing enablement.
  • Work with distributors, resellers, and MSPs on partner-ready collateral, campaign material, and technical training so they can position and sell CloudCasa credibly.
  • Drive brand visibility across the board: conference talks and booth content, community and open-source engagement, analyst and press briefings, awards and review programs, and CloudCasa's presence on the web, in search, and on social channels.
  • Work with product management and engineering on launches, including release messaging, launch assets, documentation input, enablement for sales and support, and post-launch evaluation of what landed.
  • Stay close to customers and the market through discovery conversations, architecture reviews, support escalations, partner discussions, and active sales opportunities, so that our material reflects the problems customers actually have.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence on the Kubernetes data protection and enterprise backup market, and turn it into positioning, battlecards, and comparison material the field can use.
  • Agree with stakeholders on the metrics that indicate whether awareness, engagement, pipeline contribution, and partner-sourced activity are improving, and use content and campaign data to decide where to invest next.
  • At Principal level, mentor colleagues and improve how we approach messaging, content production, launches, and partner marketing.

What We Look For:

Required Experience

  • Approximately eight or more years in technical marketing, product marketing, developer relations, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or a related technical role, in infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise software.
  • A track record of owning technical content end to end, from customer problem through published asset, demo, or campaign.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes, including clusters, manifests, pods, controllers, logs, CRDs, operators, RBAC, persistent volumes, storage classes, and CSI drivers.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including its managed Kubernetes and storage services.
  • Hands-on ability to install, configure, and demonstrate infrastructure software yourself, and to build repeatable demo environments.
  • Credibility with engineers and technical audiences, including the ability to follow architecture and design discussions and to convert complex technical and customer input into material that is clear and accurate.
  • Strong writing across solution briefs, whitepapers, technical blogs, reference architectures, and positioning documents.
  • The ability to evaluate competing views, build alignment between stakeholders, and move decisions forward without relying on organizational authority.
  • Experience presenting and running technical discussions with customers, partners, analysts, and sales teams, including webinars or public speaking.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Strongly Preferred

  • Backup, disaster recovery, data protection, storage, snapshots, replication, RPO/RTO, or ransomware recovery.
  • Products delivered both as SaaS and as customer-managed or self-hosted software.
  • Kubernetes backup tooling such as Velero, plus the concepts around it: CSI snapshots, persistent volumes, object storage, and application-consistent recovery.
  • Enterprise Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift, Rancher, or Tanzu.
  • Experience running joint or co-marketing programs with distributors, resellers, MSPs, cloud providers, or technology partners, including marketplace listings and co-branded campaigns.
  • Experience in a marketing organization where responsibilities span content, demos, enablement, events, and launch preparation.
  • Familiarity with the Kubernetes data protection and enterprise backup market.

What Success Looks Like:

First 30 Days

  • You understand the CloudCasa architecture, have installed the product, and have worked with both the SaaS and self-hosted deployments.
  • You have established working relationships across product management, engineering, support, sales, and partner management.
  • You have audited the existing technical marketing material, competitive information, partner assets, and web and campaign performance data.
  • You have participated in customer and partner discussions and can explain the principal use cases and the most significant objections we encounter.

First 90 Days:

  • You are producing technical marketing material independently, with an established working rhythm with product management, engineering, and the field.
  • You have refreshed or replaced the highest-priority assets and maintain a prioritized content and campaign backlog supported by customer, technical, competitive, and performance evidence.
  • You have presented a technical marketing and partner-marketing plan for CloudCasa to the relevant stakeholders and incorporated their input into priorities and sequencing.
  • Engineering, sales, support, and partners regard you as a knowledgeable and reliable source of positioning, content, and demonstration material.

First 12 Months:

  • You have made a measurable contribution to awareness, engagement, pipeline, or partner-sourced activity for CloudCasa.
  • CloudCasa's messaging and technical material are consistent, current, and grounded in customer evidence, product reality, competitive understanding, and business requirements.
  • Coordination between marketing, product, engineering, sales, support, and partners has improved in the areas for which you are responsible.
  • At Principal level, you have also strengthened the team's technical marketing practice, raising the quality of messaging, content, launches, and partner programs.

Why Join

CloudCasa addresses one of the more technically demanding problems in the Kubernetes ecosystem, where data protection, disaster recovery, migration, storage, security, and enterprise platform requirements intersect.

Individual contributions are highly visible, and messaging and campaign decisions are made together with experienced engineering, product, commercial, and support colleagues.

You will work directly with customers, partners, engineers, and company leadership, and your work will shape how CloudCasa is understood in the market, supported by Catalogic's 25 years of experience in enterprise data protection.
