Senior Product Designer

Description
Responsibilities:
- Own product problems end-to-end, from problem understanding through flows, prototypes, final UI, and implementation.
- Work closely with PMs to shape solutions and simplify complex user and business problems.
- Build prototypes in Figma to test ideas before anything gets built.
- Use user research, product data, and feedback to inform design decisions.
- Design within our design system and help improve it as the product grows.
- Work closely with engineers so what gets designed actually ships well.
- Think through complete journeys, edge cases, states, and dependencies rather than individual screens.
- Review shipped experiences and iterate based on user behavior and product outcomes.
- Present your work clearly, defend your decisions, and contribute actively to design critiques.
- Guide junior designers when needed while remaining deeply hands-on.
Requirements:
- Portfolio. This is the main thing we look at. Show us the problem, your process, trade-offs, and what happened after the product shipped, not just polished final screens.
- 3-4 years of product design experience. Experience at a strong product company such as CRED, Razorpay, Swiggy, Zomato, Flipkart, PhonePe, Groww, Uber, Google, or similar is a strong plus.
- Strong product thinking. You can take an ambiguous problem, understand the user need, explore alternatives, and arrive at a clear solution.
- Figma. You should be highly comfortable with auto-layout, components, variants, prototyping, and reusable design patterns.
- Strong visual craft. Type, spacing, grid, color, hierarchy, and interaction states should feel deliberate and polished.
- Strong UX fundamentals. User flows, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, usability, accessibility, and edge-case thinking.
- Systems thinking. You understand how a decision in one part of a product can affect other journeys and user states.
- Product awareness. You understand how design decisions connect to metrics, behavior, and business outcomes.
- Strong communication. You can explain your reasoning clearly and work effectively with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- A B. Des, M. Des, B. Tech, or related degree from a strong design or engineering institution is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on consumer, B2B, SaaS, commerce, or internal products.
- Experience building or contributing to a design system.
- Hands-on experience with usability testing and user interviews.
- Motion or micro-interaction work in your portfolio.
- Experience designing across web, tablet, and mobile.
