Senior Product Manager

Summary

Own and evolve data-driven profile and transparency products for organizations, leading strategy, discovery, and AI-assisted development to drive adoption and impact.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager based in United States.

This is a high-impact product leadership opportunity focused on building and evolving the experience through which organizations manage, contribute, and share their data. You will own a portfolio of profile, contributor-data, and transparency initiatives that sit close to the organization’s core mission. The role combines product strategy, customer discovery, experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on product development. You will work closely with Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Partnerships, and external sector stakeholders to turn user needs into scalable solutions. As part of a lean, AI-native product team, you will have significant autonomy to shape both the product and the way the team operates. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic product builder who thrives on measurable outcomes, rapid iteration, and mission-driven impact.

Accountabilities

  • Own the end-to-end product experience and strategic initiatives for organization profiles, profile editing, transparency programs, contributed grants data, profile-driven integrations, workflows, and related products.
  • Develop and execute a product-led strategy that encourages organizations and partners to contribute data continuously, creating a sustainable cycle that improves data quality, utility, and sector impact.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to increase adoption of profile claims, transparency programs, and other contributed-data products, partnering with Marketing, Sector Experience, Partnerships, and related teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with sector partners and develop product solutions that improve representation and visibility for underserved or strategically important segments, including smaller organizations and fiscally sponsored projects.
  • Lead customer discovery with organizations and contributors to understand motivations, needs, pain points, and friction, translating insights into a prioritized product roadmap.
  • Convert customer and sector insights into clear product requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and actionable priorities.
  • Define and monitor key product metrics covering acquisition, adoption, engagement, satisfaction, impact, and attributable revenue, using data to guide product decisions.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, and Data leaders throughout the full product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through delivery, measurement, and continuous optimization.
  • Collaborate with other product leaders to expand the usefulness and reach of organization profiles and contributed data across search, AI-powered tools, APIs, data products, and partner integrations.
  • Evangelize products and programs through demonstrations, documentation, presentations, stakeholder communications, and external engagement.
  • Champion experimentation, rapid learning, and AI-assisted product development while maintaining a strong focus on user outcomes and measurable impact.
  • Requirements

    • 5–7 years of professional product management experience, ideally working on profile, community, marketplace, contributor-driven, or similarly network-oriented products.
    • Demonstrated track record of launching products from 0-to-1 as well as improving, scaling, or reinventing established products.
    • Experience operating as a hands-on product builder with a pragmatic, action-oriented approach to experimentation, prioritization, and delivery.
    • Experience with rapid experimentation, AI-assisted prototyping, and partnering with engineering teams to implement AI-powered product capabilities.
    • Strong customer empathy and curiosity, with the ability to conduct meaningful discovery and translate user needs into effective product strategies.
    • Data- and outcome-driven mindset, with experience using product metrics and business signals to prioritize features and evaluate results.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build external relationships and communicate effectively with technical, business, and sector audiences.
    • Comfortable representing products and initiatives publicly through presentations, demonstrations, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Experience in the nonprofit or philanthropy sector is preferred.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Partnerships, and other organizational functions.
    • Comfortable working with ambiguity, taking ownership, and managing additional projects or responsibilities when needed.
    • Demonstrated sensitivity and respect for racial, gender, sexual orientation, cultural, and other differences.
    • Commitment to working in an environment grounded in values such as being driven, direct, accessible, curious, and inclusive.
    • Benefits

      • Annual compensation of approximately $120,000–$165,000, with the range adjusted for location and taking skills and experience into consideration.
      • Fully remote work arrangement within the United States.
      • 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
      • Health insurance including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
      • Retirement contribution with an additional option for employer matching.
