This is a senior product leadership opportunity focused on transforming a high-volume processing operation through technology, automation, and AI.
You will own the product strategy for converting raw utility bill data into accurate, validated, actionable payables at scale.
A major focus will be modernizing labor-intensive workflows and replacing manual processes with intelligent automation and agentic solutions.
You will partner closely with Operations, Data, Payments, Commercial, and R&D teams to improve quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
The role combines product management with service-operations leadership, requiring a strong understanding of both software and human-in-the-loop delivery models.
Your work will directly influence unit economics, margins, pricing competitiveness, and the scalability of the overall processing operation.

Accountabilities:
- Own and execute the Processing product roadmap, covering bill data normalization, validation, tolerancing, exception handling, and the production of clean payables for downstream payment workflows.
- Partner with Operations teams to map manual and labor-intensive processes, quantify costs and error rates, and prioritize automation opportunities that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead the adoption of AI-powered document processing, data extraction, and agentic automation across legacy and service-heavy workflows while maintaining or improving quality.
- Develop strategies to reduce the volume of bills requiring manual review through improved validation logic, provider-specific tolerances, and intelligent exception handling.
- Build business cases that connect automation investments to cost-per-bill improvements, margin expansion, and more competitive pricing and packaging.
- Develop and sequence modernization plans to migrate workflows from legacy and acquired systems to scalable, automation-first technology without disrupting live customer operations.
- Establish feedback loops with data platform teams to identify and resolve upstream data-quality issues.
- Work closely with Payments to ensure Processing consistently delivers accurate, reliable, and actionable payables.
- Identify and address processing and data-quality issues proactively to protect customer retention and prevent operational problems from becoming churn risks.
- Maintain a prioritized, outcome-driven roadmap with clear initiatives, milestones, epics, and OKR alignment.
- Represent Processing in cross-functional planning and collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Data, and R&D stakeholders to drive successful execution.
- Monitor customer needs, competitive dynamics, operational performance, and market opportunities to inform product strategy and roadmap priorities.
- 6+ years of product management experience, including ownership of products or services with an embedded operations or human-service component.
- Proven experience managing products where technology and service delivery work together as a single operating model.
- Demonstrated success redesigning labor-intensive workflows—such as manual data entry, exception queues, or outsourced/BPO operations—into automated or AI-assisted processes with measurable cost-per-unit improvements.
- Hands-on experience delivering AI-powered document processing, data extraction, or agentic automation capabilities into production environments.
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy or acquired systems while maintaining operational continuity for existing customers.
- Strong understanding of unit economics and the ability to connect automation investments with gross margin, cost reduction, and pricing strategy.
- Experience with document/data extraction, validation processes, or high-volume back-office and transaction processing; utility billing or invoice processing experience is a plus.
- Experience integrating or modernizing service operations following mergers and acquisitions, including legacy platforms or outsourced processing environments, is preferred.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to translate complex operational challenges into scalable product solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align technical, operational, and commercial priorities.
- Comfortable operating in an environment involving complex workflows, evolving technology, and significant transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, with the ability to incorporate competitive insights into product strategy.

- Target annual compensation: $160,000–$230,000, with final compensation determined by skills, experience, and location.
