About the Role

Raenest is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own both the customer-facing banking experience and the infrastructure behind it. You’ll lead product strategy across multicurrency accounts, money movement, treasury, stablecoins, and cross-border payments, from onboarding and Send/Convert flows to ledgering, reconciliation, and settlement. This role suits someone who is technically fluent, comfortable with complex financial systems, and committed to a great customer experience.

What You’ll Own

Customer Banking Experience

Account onboarding and KYC: frictionless acquisition with compliant identity verification Money movement: deposits, withdrawals, peer-to-peer transfers, and currency conversion Rewards and engagement programs that drive activation and retention Account settings, notifications, and user preferences A consistent experience across iOS, Android, and web

Core Banking Infrastructure

Ledgering and transaction posting: accurate, fast, and scalable architecture for complex financial transactions Reconciliation and settlement: automated workflows that protect financial integrity Treasury accounts, stablecoin products, and FX calculation engines Platform reliability: 99.99% uptime for core banking operations through proactive monitoring and incident response Compliance and audit readiness, in partnership with finance and compliance teams

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and priorities across customer-facing and core banking products
• Lead a large cross-functional squad of backend, mobile, and web engineers and QA specialists, running sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination
• Translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into clear product specifications
• Drive alignment on API contracts, data models, and system dependencies across squads
• Use user research and behavioural data to prioritise by impact, and work with design on intuitive user experiences
• Balance security, risk, and compliance requirements with user experience
• Track key metrics, including activation rate, transaction volume, NPS, feature adoption, and system performance, and drive continuous improvement
• Build strong relationships with finance, operations, compliance, and risk stakeholders

Required Experience

• 5+ years of product management experience in fintech, digital banking, or financial services
• Hands-on experience with treasury accounts, stablecoins, and cross-border payments
• Deep understanding of banking operations, ledgering, multi-currency accounting, and financial reconciliation
• Strong technical fluency: able to discuss APIs, databases, and system architecture with engineers
• Track record of shipping complex consumer, B2B, or infrastructure products at scale
• Experience managing large cross-functional teams (10+ people)
• Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong understanding of mobile-first product design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with KYC/AML processes and regulatory compliance
• Background in accounting, finance, or financial systems
• Experience with core banking systems, payment processors, or treasury platforms
• Knowledge of FX markets, multi-currency operations, settlement systems, and remittance flows
• Familiarity with modern banking infrastructure (ledgers, double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliation engines)
• Growth product experience (onboarding, activation, retention), including rewards, loyalty, or gamification
• Experience working with iOS and Android engineering teams
• Previous experience at African fintechs / Cross border
