Senior Product Manager

Summary

Leads end-to-end product development for a clinical trial data engine, owning discovery, specs, launches, and metrics while building Rivia’s first product management function and integrating AI tools into workflows.

About Rivia
Rivia is a technology company building a data engine that powers the future of clinical trial intelligence. Rivia was founded on the belief that new drugs can be brought to market more successfully with a fraction of today's capital.
Biotechs are the source of most therapeutic innovation, yet clinical development is constantly constrained by fragmented data and outdated tooling. Rivia unifies clinical trial data at scale through a core engine built as a reusable intelligence layer, comprising hundreds of configurations and trial-specific logic, independent of source structure. This vertical stack of data engine, workflows, and agents creates a distinct advantage in how trials are operated.
Over the past two years, European and US based biotechs running global clinical trials on Rivia have demonstrated measurable impact, from earlier understanding of therapeutic potential to significantly more efficient trial execution. In March 2026, Rivia raised its $15M Series A led by Earlybird Venture Capital.
Rivia’s ambition is to become the standard infrastructure for modern drug development, transforming how trials are executed end-to-end.

About the Product Team

You’ll be Rivia's first product hire, reporting to the CTO. Today, everything Product is owned by the Rivia founders and carried out Engineering. Your job is to take it over, build the function, and make shipping high quality products repeatable. As Rivia scales, there is a clear path to leading a PM team.

The Role

As Senior Product Manager at Rivia, you own the path from idea to adopted feature. Driving alignment across Engineering, Client Solutions and founders to build products that have relevant impact, from customer discovery, mockups, specs, weekly refinement, launches, and measurement of KPIs.
You’ll own several products across Rivia’s platform. This requires holistic understanding of market and customer needs for complex prioritisation decisions. To do that you’ll need to be deep in the details: talking to customers, experts, writing specs, monitoring usage, keeping delivery moving. You also build the product management function itself, with light processes (PRDs, documentation, releases, prioritization) that a future product team builds on, and you own product coherence: the principles that keep features consistent as the platform grows.

Working Model: This role is based on-site in our Zürich office.

What Excites You

  • Shipping products that help bring new therapies to market. Our customers entrust us with their patients, we take that very seriously.
  • Working directly with customers, including clinical research and biotech teams running global clinical trials, to understand problems and turn them into delightful solutions.
  • Defining product management foundation, from first principles, as the first product hire.
  • Joining a team that already works AI-native: agentic features run in production on live trials, customers connect their own agents through the Rivia MCP, and much of the roadmap ahead is AI products. You work the same way, from AI-built mockups to agent-driven analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Product Execution: Own the full product lifecycle for your scope: discovery, spec, delivery, and post-launch measurement.
  • Drive Cross-Team Coordination: Align Engineering, Design,w and Clinical stakeholders to hit delivery deadlines. Work closely with GTM to synchronize assets and commercial readiness with each release.
  • Channel Customers need: Run structured feedback loops with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring their needs are prioritised and our products are usable, reliable and high quality.
  • Oversee a Multi-Product Portfolio: Weigh competing priorities across the product line, deliberately direct your own attention and your teams' bandwidth, and make sure customers experience the products as one coherent whole.
  • Own Product performance: Set KPIs and targets before building, measure feature health after launch, and make kill, iterate, or double-down calls on the data.
  • AI-Powered Product Development: Use AI agents in your daily work, including AI-generated mockups to accelerate discovery, and identify where AI unlocks new value for clinical teams.
  • Product Function Building: Set up light processes (PRDs, documentation, release process, prioritization) that the team actually follows.

What Excites Us

  • 7+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS with technical products
  • You have been the first or sole PM at a B2B startup and built the product function around an engineer-led team
  • Has taken at least one product from idea to production with demonstrable adoption
  • Hands-on product analytics: built measurement from zero with Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar
  • Has designed and run product processes (refinement, discovery, launches) that engineering teams actually kept
  • AI-native way of working: uses AI agents in daily product work, with concrete examples
  • Comfortable being the only product person: self-directed, builds the function while running it
  • Clinical trials, drug development, or health data experience is a strong plus. Exceptional PMs without it are welcome.

Bonus
  • Former lead or head of product who wants to build hands-on again
  • Experience shipping for expert or scientific users
