The Boston Public Health Commission is partnering with Community Based Health Centers and local Community Based Organizations to develop and support the operation of a Neighborhood Trauma Team Network in the Boston communities of Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, and East Boston. This network offers a continuum of services for residents impacted by community violence including:
- Immediate in-home or community-based services for survivors of violence and their immediate family members and friends.
- Prompt planning and implementation of efforts to meet community needs for healing and information.
- Availability of behavioral health and related supportive services as needed.
Neighborhood Trauma Team network members also partner throughout the service delivery process with the Boston Public Health Commission, the Boston Police Department, Boston Center for Youth and Families, hospitals and other community-based organizations.
The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for Network protocol development to ensure a consistent and equitable approach to trauma response and recovery services in the city of Boston, as well as all training and capacity building efforts. In addition, this position will lead a monthly learning community to elevate successes and gaps in service, codify best practices and identify skill drift and/or staff training needs. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with the Capacity Building and Training Initiative to develop and implement core training competencies for the Network.
- Assess, identify, and develop training and capacity building opportunities to ensure that all Network staff can effectively perform their scope of work.
- Ensure all NTTN training includes a trauma-informed lens.
- Develop protocols to ensure consistency in approach across teams and neighborhoods.
- Lead the development of a Manual of Procedures to memorialize program practices.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a coaching framework for NTTN partners including developing train-the trainers.
- Provide ongoing technical assistance and coaching to community partners participating in the NTTs around violence prevention, trauma informed recovery and care services and trauma informed systems change and sustainability.
- Facilitate the development of core competencies related to the NTTN's core services and program protocols.
- Develop protocols to ensure consistency in approach across teams and neighborhoods.
- Develop and implement trauma informed assessments for all Neighborhood Trauma Teams (NTTs).
- Design and implement an evidence-based learning community, training and technical assistance model for the NTTN including development of technical assistance around prevention, community support services, trauma treatment and care for residents, and ongoing training in evidence-based trauma treatment models
- Identify challenges and gaps in services, codify best practices and improve the quality and consistency of NTTN services.
- Support the development and implementation of all Neighborhood Trauma Team response and service delivery protocols.
- Coordinate and oversee the NTT monthly meeting including clinical consultation and booster trainings with teams.
- Ensure integration and implementation of a racial justice and equity lens into all trainings and programs
- Supervise training staff and consultants.
- Manage Training Budget
- Meets regularly with Program Director regarding NTTN operations, including but not limited to confidential matters.
- Performs other duties as required.
