About Our Client Our client is a global technology provider serving the airline industry. Its software helps airlines modernize retailing, distribution, revenue accounting, and financial processes, supporting digital transformation and improved business performance. About the Role We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex technology implementation and transformation projects for airline customers. You will manage delivery from planning through launch, coordinating business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to achieve agreed timelines, budgets, and business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings direct experience managing projects within the airline industry and the ability to connect airline business needs with technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities Own project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and delivery milestones. Lead airline software implementations, system integrations, and transformation initiatives. Serve as the primary project contact for customers, building strong relationships with business leaders and technical stakeholders. Coordinate cross-functional teams across product, engineering, implementation, testing, and support. Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes, escalating decisions when needed. Maintain clear project plans, status reports, financial forecasts, and executive updates. Oversee testing readiness, user acceptance testing, deployment planning, and the transition to ongoing support. Drive stakeholder alignment, resolve delivery challenges, and maintain accountability across teams. Capture lessons learned and improve project delivery practices.

SKILLS

Must have

• Required Qualifications A strong track record as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex enterprise technology projects. Demonstrated project management experience in the airline industry, either directly with an airline or through an airline technology provider or consulting firm. Experience managing software implementations or system integrations through the full project lifecycle. Understanding of airline business processes and systems, such as reservations, ticketing, distribution, retailing, or revenue accounting. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks, and competing priorities. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership. Experience coordinating geographically distributed teams and external vendors. Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches. Availability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Calgary, Alberta.

Nice to have

Preferred Qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, or a comparable project management certification. Experience with airline revenue accounting, financial settlement, or commercial platforms. Familiarity with New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order. Experience with cloud-based platforms, data migration, and API integrations. Experience leading organizational change and supporting customer adoption.
